PURPOSE:
This program will assist participants
in managing all functions of medical records in the long term care
setting. Excellent workshop for new
medical records staff, refresher course for experienced staff, or those
supervising the medical records department. Participants will have the
opportunity to gain experience on how to audit with special emphasis this year
on the QI Survey Process.
OBJECTIVES:
At the end of this program,
participants will be able to:
Understand
and discuss current medical record practices.
Identify
ways to streamline tasks for more efficiency.
Audit a
medical record with understanding of State and Federal requirements.
